Requirements for Pets (Cats, Dogs, Ferrets) Accompanying Passengers Traveling to Our Country

Pets (cats, dogs, ferrets) traveling with passengers to our country must comply with the following conditions:

1. ​The pet must possess a valid passport or identification document indicating ownership.
2. The pet must be microchipped.
3. Rabies vaccination must be administered subsequent to the microchip implantation.
4. At least 30 days following the rabies vaccination, a rabies antibody titration test must be conducted at an accredited laboratory listed below, and the test result must demonstrate a titre value exceeding 0.5 IU.
5. In the case of the initial titration test, a waiting period of 90 days from the date of the test result must be observed prior to travel. This waiting period applies solely to the initial test; for subsequent travels, if the rabies vaccination is renewed within its protective validity period, this waiting period shall not be required.
6. ​​​​​Within 2 days prior to travel, a Veterinary Health Certificate, as stipulated in the annex of the relevant regulation below, must be issued by the competent authority of the exporting country.

​​Transit travelers passing through our country en route to another destination shall not be required to fulfill these conditions provided they do not enter our country. Compliance with the health requirements of the destination country shall suffice.

According to customs regulations, a passenger may travel with a maximum of 2 animals.​
